Whenever you click "story" in the main menu, it just plays another instance of music. I don't think that's intentional. Anyways, because I can't tell what the story is, it seems you're teleporting dinosaurs away from the past. So it seems to fit. -1 points because I don't fully understand what you're going for, I'm just kind-of assuming that's what's happening. Not everyone would get it.
I dont really see the theme in here? Maybe there was something I missed in my gameplay
World does resemble the theme, the mechanics do not
i could not play the game, fatal error unreal
didnt feel the theme really
kinda related idk
Enjoyment
It was meh, wasn't able to leava the game
Maybe they just spawned so, but dinos where really far away, and they also really slow, so I did managed to get much
I liked the feel of the game. Getting the dinosaurs to move might have errored?, because they did start to move towards me but then would not turn anymore.
The level is pretty big and the character moves a bit too slow in my opinion. I think if you increased the speed of the player and the dinosaurs the game would be a lot more arcadey and fun. At the moment, I think it's a bit too simple and dependent on dinosaurs not getting stuck. Also, the gameplay was incredibly easy. You have to really try if you want to actually die. I would also recommend disabling collisions between dinosaurs, they tend to get stuck quite often.
Game was quite laggy for me, so it was hard to get a good feeling.
i don't understand how to capture the dinos
The sound effects were funny, therefore enjoyable
i couldnt really play due to lag and i didnt understand how to do anything except walk around, even after looking at instructions
I couldn't go back to the menu after going in-game. I wanted to reread instructions...
Cool sound effects though. Sadly the game runs bad on my laptop.
none
kinda bland gameplay, some dinos just did not react to the broccoli at all. controls were pretty janky, cant move when looking down
Aesthetics
It was dull and empty
I love it hehe
Broccoli trees!!
Liked the sounds, the Story button did not do anything for me
I love the "stuffed animal" aesthetic, the music and the human mouth sound effects. It's all great, I would gladly buy a full Steam game with this aesthetic.
I could see through the ramp and other visual glitches. Didn't really understand the snake, yellow spike thing.
Overall looks nice, style of models is all over the place tho
Funny sound design
the visuals are really good, the funky music too, but the constant engine noises from moving get annoying after a while
* Liked the wool materials!
* Liked the dinosaur sounds
Main menu looks kinda boring, some elements clip (like text and volume slider)
Lovely sound effects and also enjoyable music
Unreal Engine graphics, done wrong.
where dino animations??? just sliding around
Innovation
Using Unreal Engine for for a game jam feels somewhat innovative. It is done each jam but it always feels like what UE offers is never quite brought out completely.
Herding dinosaurs is definitely an uncommon game style. Although I have seen similar herding minigames before, even in MMORPGs for example. Still, it's uncommon and fun enough for a few extra points here.
none
nothing new here
Bonus
Managed to get 1 dino teleported and the game told me I was a disgrace to my civilization 😢
Please have direct download from itch instead of pointing to a drive link next time.
Also funny bug, your movement speed depends on how horizontal your camera is. Looking straight up or down means you can't move (movement vectors are calculated from the camera instead of the character)
Thumbs up for using Unreal
i like the aesthetic
Can't launch the game
Great get-your-minecraft-animals-into-your-farm simulator
Minecraft animal breeding sim
If you mash the Story button multiple times, the song overlaps. I don't see how it's related to the story though.
HAS a volume slider though!
