Wild magic is a game about an elf who got stuck in the feywild and cant find their way out of there. The strong magical powers aren't helping her situation either, slowly accumulating on her body and making survival hard. Can you help her escape the forest, and survive the unstable magic that is all around her?
CONTROLS: A and D for movement, SPACE for jumping and SHIFT for dashing.
MECHANIC: Unstable magic is slowly accumulating on the character, and if you don't get rid of it, you will sadly die.

managaing the magic is a fun element
The use of the theme was fun! I do wish that the mechanic of "unstable magic" was a bit more deep than just "a bar that trickles down until you die". I usually find that a far more interesting approach to these sorts of things is to never kill the player outright, but make their situation worse so that death happens easier (as an example, for this game, don't kill the player, but instead make their movements harder to control, which makes it easier to mess up platforming).

Can't go back at one point in the game like the my screen gets stuck at one so i can only move forward and not backward
Playable enough but as a game designer you need to keep in mind that everyone else is about 10x worse at your game than you. You should make it easy enough to the point where its kinda boring for you.

The platform movement felt pretty responsive! I do feel that the collision boxes of some of the obstacles could have been smaller to make platforming sections easier.

Not a bad aesthetic but let down by some pretty ugly sprites that don't mesh together well.
The visuals were great! The music was also wonderful, if only yall had enough time to add some more sfx, it would have been great. I especially loved the art for the totem, the player as well as the pause menu.
The main character and animations look nice, cool music as well but the environment needs some work and some SFX would be nice

I REALLY loved the little "shortcut" that appeared rather early on in the game. There was a difficult platforming section and at the end of it you had the option of jumping down to the screen below - this then revealed to the player that this whole time they could have jumped up from the totem below to skip part of the level! Really really clever, since the player was always able to use that shortcut, they just didn't know it existed.
