Didn't really feel like the theme was the focus point
I understand something was lost and had to be found in the initial story animation, but the game itself doesn't convey the theme.
Only thing resembling "Lost and Found" was a basic game mechanic of "Go find this thing"
It created a nice feeling of being lost in a maze.
Enjoyment
I liked the hand-drawn art and the sudden jump into a 3D Gears of War character was a pleasant surprise, but the attacks did not seem to do anything, nor could I block and the monsters killed me in one hit, so there was not that much enjoyment to be taken out of the gameplay itself.
Bugs and general lack of logical mechanics
I died in one hit, maybe rebalance a bit.
The frogs one-hit the player and I couldn't pick up the spear from the ground.
Game didn't work well at all.
The game-breaking bugs ruin the experience. The fighting had no feedback, and I just got killed instantly. The lack of guiding the player wasn't benefitial either.
Aesthetics
Funny and art was good
I liked the initial hand-drawn art, music and the 3d Models and environment. It's the main thing that is going strong for the game!
First screens were beautiful. Then art takes a really sudden and weird turn. Models don't look like they're supposed to
Loved the jump from cartoonish to SPACE MARINE
Nice art in the beginning, but then the artstyle changed completely???
Cool bear model, the beggining art was cool but misleading, I was waiting something else based on that..
what happened with the character? Went from tribal to cyborgs. Like what?
Also how did I become all of the sudden a bear when in the intro I was a badger?
I really liked the art. The in game art felt like it didn't go well with my expectations and was quite the shock.
Using two different styles in the menu and actually in the game felt like the cheapest assets were used, instead of the ones that would better fit the game.
The intro sequence was amazing. But the in game graphics need a lot of work, having a lighting expert in a team would be benefitial.
The bear art seems to be a bit too good to be made during the jam, unless you have a very talented character artist in which case I appologize.
There was a big cap in story and game art styles, could be more uniformed. Otherwise story is good, game is creepy (Y) and audi appropriate. I liked the player character model and animation.
Innovation
Sadly, the game did not feel very innovative. I've seen it before in various places and it didn't really introduce a new idea, aside from the surprising jump of a hand-drawn badger into a 3D mech monster.
Giving max innovation for the badger model.
Game didn't work so I can't exactly say, but seemed like another "Go kill baddies" game
Bonus
I 'like' how we went from fable style badgers in a tribe to some dumb cyborg bear with mutant frogs. Like what? Where's the consistency here? The sound effect from picking up the items is ear pinningly loud and I'm pretty sure I've seen that Cyborg bear asset from somewhere. And lastly, the frogs insta kill you
Haha, this was the most wtf moment for me ever, but purely because of that I had to give you some bonus points. Made me laugh.
It seemed like it had a story that would be interesting, sadly current gameplay didn't relfect it..
