Background You are a Unit 001 - and 002, 003, 004, and so on, a happy cog in the machine. You are happy, aren’t you?

Don’t worry, death is not the end - until it is. But you’ll be just fine. Well, most of you. Your original self is counting on you.

All we want is to see you succeed. Or else.

Theme

The idea of clones being your way of playing is quite nice. It kinda fits the theme but it's still a bit too far to give a perfect score.

It does fit the theme, but I didn't find out what I could actually do with my life since I couldn't proceed :(

love me some clones

I really like the theme interpretation.

The theme was hit, albeit slightly without twisting it.

I think the interpretation is pretty fine.

I like that the original you is also involved (storywise at least)

Theme is spot on.

Earning clones is... I mean what else is there to work for?

Can't argue with the directness between the theme and the game. Sacrifice the lives of clones to gain access to new places, new skills etc.

Enjoyment

The game idea is good but the tasks you need to do get repetitive and boring really quickly. I would like to play more but it got irritating with how precise the timing is for the first task.

The player does not get stimulated at all. This is seemingly a puzzle game, but the only way to proceed is an obscure grind mechanic with not much reward. I can imagine that if the player would be able to proceed quicker with less repetitive tasks the satisfaction would increase a lot, too. The player does not have interesting enough interactions, at least from the portion of the game that I saw, to keep them interested. The time required to be invested from the does not match the reward given.

not too fun, seen the hands all the time would help to understand better the spatial relation between hands and the press.

due to the fack that restart button doesnt work combined with the impossibilty of pressing E correctly enough to not die of making widgets.

Grind

I liked the game. It felt right. Movement had running mode, the clone arrival mechanism was nice. Atmosphere was great. The "work" stomper had some weird sluggishness to it that felt like I had all left hands. Perhaps it's intentional but a better skillgame was what was missing from the perfect.

It's enjoyable, would really like to try out all the levels!

It was a interesting game that I would like to play someday. Unfortunately there were some bugs and I couldn't finish it got stuck in the end and had to restart. Also, lost a life when I said no to opening a door.

Overall good feel and tempo. Professional.

The presentation is fine, although I stumbled upon a selection of bugs, visual and otherwise. One door (as great as they all looked) was misaligned, so I could see through the side. Also tried to open a door (at room G i think), then pressed "2" for "no thanks", but the game still killed me and unlocked the door. Also had to use two lives to open door B, for some reason? Still, refreshing to play a first person puzzle game, even if the inspiration is obvious. The ambition of the project is acknowledged and appreciated. Getting new clones was kinda frustrating, 10 widgets is just enough that you can mess up easily and lose a close instead of gaining one, thus it sets you back a lot when you were just trying to get that one new clone. Since its a somewhat tedious timing minigame, the setbacks start to frustrate.

Aesthetics

Audio and graphics are good.

The art is quite good with good models and nice textures. The redeeming factor is definitely the voice-overs. Gives off a Stanley Parable feel. Maybe a constant voice like a story would help with the repetitive tasks?

The voiceover is great. Reminds me of Valve's games, which is a compliment and not a poke at derivative. Otherwise the game looks very bland. There is no contrast in the palette to write home about and no eye candy to keep the player engaged in the environments.

Looks very nice and it goes well with the audio.

nice sound

The amount of work put into the visuals and audio is exceptional

Atmosphere was well made. Laconic level design with central point you could start from was good. Sound was nice and hell of a work one would guess.

The audio and visuals go together well.

Looks polished, the voice over is great. Maybe it would have needed some more interesting variation, otherwise, looked really good. Especially for a game jam game.

Very nice art, voice acting is superb, footsteps make nice feel.

Decent story, gets the point across. Great atmosphere, especially in the voice-acting. Some weird audio glitches, overlapping etc, when quick sequences of triggers were switched on. Some great models of "stuff" here-there, the doors looked especially nice, the rest of the junk and machinery was nice. A bit thread-bare on the general room visuals. Stumbled upon a few clipping-into-object issues. Also some animation lag and weird doubling, where-in I learned how to craft two widgets with one go - that's timing for ya!

Innovation

It's basically the life of a working clone, which is, I think, what you were aiming for, but usually games are played to escape such boring activities and get away to a place of fantasy or somewhere more exciting. This game does the opposite.

It's a 3D clicker game with puzzle mechanics, which is not very exciting for me personally. I would have liked to see what the puzzles did though!

I liked the clone related logic

It could work as a fully polished game so I hope you keep on hacking on this one.

Solid attempt at an exploratory puzzle game.

Bonus

The bonus points are for the implementation of the voiceovers and how well they sound in-game. Would love a game based purely on storytelling like this.

I didn't get far enough to see the special bits I think..

Full 3D game and nice looking.

Really smooth apart from the restart button which doesnt work.

Polished experience.

I really enjoy the voice-acting!

Audio

Voice acting makes it stand out. But the cooperation between different yous was also cool.

Bonus point for the Portal-like feel!

Overall still liked a bunch of the elements, pieces of the puzzle, although the whole thing did not work perfectly.

Staying safe while sending clones to work is nice. And there is undoubted loyalty between originals and clones apparently. They know what the priority is.

very good voice acting
