Yes it does fit the theme on the surface level but not in any meaningful gameplay or story element sense. It could just as well be about slaying monsters in the forest and gathering their skins and be the same game.
Maybe the feature part isn't that 100% spot on, but it's still quite good theme wise.

It's a bit basic, but everything works. No (non intended) bugs etc. Solid!
